Paris, France: March 16-25th, 2007
Many thanks to Ms. Paradi, Ms. Lin, Mr. Tetro [sp?], & our tour guide Dave! What a trip! But getting there was grueling.. 1hr to HKG then 12hrs flight to France @_@. Those 7 days spent in France seemed like years! We went to so many places each day. So much so much so much walking! Nd Dave can beat the metro system, he walks SO GODDAMN FAST, we all had to run to keep up with him =___=. We woke up at 7:45 every morning, ate breakfast at the hotel [i had 4 cups of yogurt & 3 slices of banana bread every morning], and stayed out until 10pm. Took 700+ pictures, i have narrowed it down to 344 for this post. So sorry if it lags your comp. Im kind of dissapointed though. A couple of places we couldnt take pictures, nd thats where all the hot guys were! The irony. ND, the hot ones always hide behind the ugly ones :(. I think they pretty much knew that i was trying to take pictures of them, a couple of them waved ^.^" The 14 other people that went on the trip were awesome, notice i didnt count in Jason Shepard - hes not human. Roomed with Tiffany, hella fun. Lots & lots of shopping! We had an hour each day nd on Friday, we got the whole day! The only gay thing about this trip was that: we had to PAY to use the bathrooms! Friday - 3/16:
Ive been psyched for about a week already for this day. Left the school around 4:30pm to the airport. Switch planes at Hong Kong. We were on the same plane to Hong Kong with the people going to Rome. 1hr ride to HKG, then our Paris group separated from the Rome group nd went to our gates, walked around a bit, played cards, then got ready for the 12 longgg hrs to France. Sat next to Jenny, Jinny, & Andy on my right. Nd Emily, Karen, nd Kim on my left. I couldnt sleep.  Karen, Emily, Kim, Michelle, Sean - Taiwan airport.  Em & Sean want big eyes =(.  Kim filed her nails the whole way to HKG.  Michelle with her hair down!  Jinny & Beth.  Emily, Michelle with glasses, Kim, Karen - HKG airport.  Michelle, Kim, Karen, Sean.  Playing cards on the floor =___="  Em, Kim, Michelle, Karen... Jason's backside.  She put socks on her hands...  Andy, Jinny, Jenny.  Em, Karen, Kim.  Andy, Jinny, Jenny, Sean.
Day 1 - 3/17:
Arrival day! The airport lost Michelle's luggage! [But she got it the next day so yeah, no harm.] Got there at 7am nd met Dave at the airport nd then we took a Mercedez Benz coach bus to our Hotel. Left our luggage nd walked to the metro station to go to the Place de la Concorde. Then we walked along the Champs Elysees... so many hot guys! haha neways, walked nd walked nd walked nd walked till we finally reached the Arc de Tiomphe...then we CLIMBED 248 STEPS to the top. He wouldnt let us take the elevator. Nd the stairwell was a very small & cramped spiral, everyone got so dizzy. The view was fantabulous, you see the 12 streets of Paris & pretty much everything else. Ate lunch at Quick's nd everyone got drowsy from jet lag, so Dave's remedy for that is taking us to this cemetary to walk the sleep off T__T. The cemetary was quite scary, lots of crows flying around nd its dead quiet, i mean DEAD QUIET. The tombs were humungous, nd the gates creaked, pretty creepy. Famous musicians & artists were burried there. [Ex: Frederic Chopin] After that, we went back to the hotel to eat dinner & sleep!
 Em, Sean, Karen, Kim - Paris airport.  Beth, Flora, Jesse, Jane.  LMAO Em!  Sean, Kim, Karen, Em.  Kim + the vending machine. The drinks are downsideup!  Em, Kim, Karen, Michelle - Parking area?  Our bus!  Em, Sean, Michelle, Kim - Inside.  Grafiti!  Fruit stand :D  Omg, the boulangerie we first stopped at.  Theres that gigantic donut i ordered.  She's a big fat pig.  Waiting for people to buy their breakfasts.  Cool balconies. lol.  Public toilet! Right in the middle of the sidewalk!  Streets.  Metro. They have those doors when you slide the ticket in, it it me in the face.  Metro! You have to push a button for the door to open. LOOK AT THE HOT GUYS! LOL  Metro station - Champs Elysees Clemenceau.  Michelle, Jane, Kim, Sean, Em.  Thats Dave.  Its really fast!  There are 8 of these around the court, nd they represent the 8 big cities of France.  Given to France by the Egyptians.  It's cold.  :D pretty fountain.   LOL, we didnt ride one.  GODIVA CHOCOLATIER!  Place de la concorde... i think.  Jewlery stores... the whole street is FILLED with them, nd they all have guards infront of the doorway.  Sean, Kim, Michelle.  Group picture!   Cool motorcycle.  SO ADORABLE. Store for dance clothes.  Opera house.  Look at the second sign: TOILET IN 50 METERS! =P  The side of the opera house.  Im not used to Michelle with glasses! Can you believe shes 16? She looks 12.  Cleaning people.  People in France dress really really weird. The guys wear skinny jeans.  Champs Elysees.  Sephora for the ladies.  Virgin Megastores for the gents.  They have so many pidgeons in France @_@.  DUN DUN DUNN.... it takes 4 hrs to completely shop through the whole thing.  Karen, Jenny, Em, Kim, Michelle - Arc de Triomphe     Names of generals & battles won, carved on the walls of the Arc.  Unnamed soldier.  Wayne,Tiff, Daniel climbing up the Arc.  View.  You can seee the Eiffel tower!  Ew Jenny, go away.  Jane, Jinny, Michelle, Kim, Jenny, Jessie, Em, Tiff.  Michelle, Kim, Jenny, Jessie, Em's big fat face.  Cemetary.  Em & the spiritual wish statue.  Ms. Lin.  Grr, im a zombie?
Day 2 - 3/18:
Went to the Louvre Museum, the Mona Lisa is um, not that interesting, quite boring actually. Ate lunch there, Jordan Tran - i saved you a napkin. In the afternoon, we walked to Saint Chapelle and later we took a boat tour on the Seine River, IT WAS SO COLD. Everyone was sitting on the deck area, but then after 10 min, everyone went downstairs, only me & Emily stayed up the whole ride. The view, again, is absolutely stunning.
Day 3 - 3/19:
Took our Mercedez Benz coach bus on a 2hr ride to the Loir Valley to see the CHATEAU CHAMBORD. Nd oh lord, such a magnificent castle. 440 rooms, 84 staircases, 365 fireplaces, takes up 18252 meters² - building only, 5433 hectares of woods, 33km wall around the estate, worth 11 million Francs. It was so cold inside! Nd there were so many dead ends! It was kind of scary actually, large paintings hung on the walls nd dimly lit chandelirs nd scary animal heads mounted on walls. Plus, the floors creaked! During lunch it started hailing for the rest of the day and during dinner, it turned into snow.
 France countryside.  Beth & Karen sleeping.  Kim sleeping.  Jesse & Flora.  Michelle watching Bad Boys.  Pretty building.  LOL, DOESNT THIS REMIND YOU OF THE WHOMPING WILLOW IN HP?!  CHATEAU CHAMBORD!!  So pretty so pretty so pretty!    Wouldnt you want to live here?  Yeah, Sean the princess + Em her maid.  Em, Sean, Kim, Michelle.  lol, we were playing a game, Karen won!  Wayne's hair, Ms. Lin, Michelle, Kim, Em - haha everyone ordered a Croque Madame!  LOL i love his facial expression.  HAIL!    Double staircase.  Loom thing.  Sitting room.  Bedroom.  We were all so cold!  Went up to the deck.   Double staircase from inside looking up.  Garden.   Em & Kim.  I guess they played pool in the old days?      They sold swords at the souvenir shop!   Suicidal attempts.  Die piggy die!  Snow!    Yeah i eat that too.     Em decides to get a sex change.
Day 4 - 3/20:
Went to Les Invalides & Napolean's Tomb & the Rodin Museum in the morning. The Rodin Museum is filled with...uh rated R sculptures >.<" Later in the afternoon we went to the Musee D'Orsay nd we had a picture finding project @___@" this museum is terribly confusing! Then for dinner we went to this quaint little restaurant... the food was omf delicous. Medium well chewy juicy steak + some chocolate pudding that was to die for. Last but not least attraction for this day is of course: the Eiffel Tower. Waited in line for an hour to ride the elevator. It was so cold! Everyone bunched together like penguins. We got to the hotel at midnight x_X!
Day 5 - 3/21:
I guess the cemetary is nothing compared to the Catacombs. Due to over crowded cemetaries, in the 18th century, they moved more than 6 million skeletons underground, they made the walls out of femur bones nd USED THE SKULLS AS DECORATION. Its dark, drippy, nd chilly nd hot at the same time down there, its worse than all the haunted houses combined, the only light was from the little bulbs that followed the path. Can i say scary much? Shadows & everything, they even had a plaque at the doorway that said "Kingdom of the dead, do not enter." Whats ridiculous is some people want to take a bone for souvenir o.o, they had a security checkpoint at the end to make sure you didnt take a skull. After lunch Kim, Michelle, Emily & I ate delicious crepes! Chocolate-banana! The guy who made it was so pro. In the afternoon, we went to the Pompidou Center, a modern art museum. They had people who imitated statues outside [who were really really professionals] & jugglers nd such. Later we went to the Notre Dame Cathedral. Nd infront of it, is the center of Paris. I stood on it :).
 Catacombs!         The skulls are in a shape of a heart.    They still have teeth.  Pompidou Center, the tube thing is the elevator, its outside.   Our guide in the black suit, Andy, Jane, Mr. Tetro.  Dave, Ms. Lin, Kim, Em, Sean.  Kim being molested.  Heroines.  Contrapasto!  Hellenistic!  Poop -.-"  Green water.  Notre Dame Cathedral.  Center of Paris.  :)    Pretty stained glass windows.    Mars bars = Milkyway.  Uh yeah, like i said, France has weird fashions... Nour these purple jeans are for you.  Em & her granny stockings. [Yes, stockings, not leggings.]
Day 6 - 3/22:
Boy do i feel like a real princess. I have went to two castles within a week! We took a train to the Chateau de Versailles. Its very different from Chambord. This one is lavishly decorated inside while the outside is boring. Spent the whole morning walking in there nd after lunch, we went to the palace's garden to row a boat! Apparently King Louis XIV had boat parties in his garden. Kim, Michelle, Emily & I were boat #1. Nd i did all the rowing -___-". Emily was sleeping on the boat, Michelle was looking at ducks nd swans, nd Kim was like "im too lady like for this." so i rowed most of the way, i got powerful muscles man :D! Later, we went to the Fragonard Parfumeur, its one of the most high class perfumeries in all of France or something like that. Nd omg.. my head was pounding after smelling so many perfumes. I got two bottles for my gma, which cost 26€ / 30mL bottle... nd thats very reduced factory price already @______@!!
 Train!    Chateau de Versailles.  Very pretty ceiling.    Opera house inside the palace.   THRONE! Why is it so small?  The Hall of Mirrors: has 17 mirrors on one side, nd 17 windows on the other side.  The mirrors.  The windows.        Jenny feeding duckies.  Michelle, hahaha Em you look stupid.  Her fat was preventing her from rowing.  We need Sean's help!  Kim says: "Okay if you two row, ill give you jello later." *Sean hears the word jello nd falls off* -_____-"  Karen, Beth, Flora, Jessie.  Yeah see the wind? WERE ACTUALLY MOVING WHEN I ROW!  Swan!  She isnt rowing, shes just posing for the camera. "Im too ladylike for this."  Em decides to sleep.  Ice cream! OMG IT WAS SOOOO GOOD!   lol Kim looks like a super star.  Boat #1!  Em, see how 3 people have to balance out you to keep the boat afloat? Day 7 - 3/23:
Last day! In the morning we went to Montmartre to the Sacre Coeur Church nd the Moulin Rouge, cept we didnt go see a show in the Moulin Rouge cause it was like 50 naked ladies dancing on the stage which was "inappropriate" for a school trip. For lunch we went to the Place du Tertre, filled with street artists! I got my portrait & a caricature done. The lady who drew my portrait gave me blue & purple hair -___-" but it looks extremely like me. Nd my caricature... well, the guy made me look like Janet Jackson T_T. Apparently i have big lips & a smile that stretches my whole face. He put my head on the Eiffel Tower. Lunch was a ripoff, we HAD to order a drink, our sandwiches was just a bread with some cheese slapped inside, it wasnt even melted! Nd the total bill for K,M,E&I was like 41€. [1€ = $1.46US!!!!!] Big shopping day! Went back to the Champs Elysees for those designer stores. It was like express shopping, we ran into every store nd threw on clothes nd ran to the next store. Bought a bajillion things nd Emily & I SPRINTED from Zara to the meeting spot... it was like 4 freaking blocks away. I couldnt even run one. Plus i had 4 bags + my portaits from the morning in my hands. Blehh anyways we made it only 5 min late. Had dinner nd then we went to a movie theater! Watched Music & Lyrics. Went back to the hotel nd we packed.
Saturday/Sunday/Monday - 3/24-27:
Went to the airport round 10am. The flight from France to Hong Kong was only 11hrs! Andy on my right nd Ms Paradis & Tiffany on my left. Andy ate my salad & orange juice. Ms. Paradis didnt eat at all, she slept the whole time. Tiffany ate everyones yogurt & fruits & bread rolls =P. Watched Night At the Museum. Another hour from Hong Kong to Taipei, got to the school at noon. Went home & slept till 6pm. Next day couldnt stay awake in school.
